Adrian Halpern sees molecules, and so we’re willing to follow. Emblematic of what our eye has been attuned to as of late, Halpern’s coherent, organism-drawings are meticulous and fantastic. Looking at his work makes you feel as though your eyes might have evolved to the level of microscopy, revealing subatomic happenings in all their molecular flow. Hailing from Kansas City and having studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Adrian is currently showing a collection of his works at Old Souls Tattoo Parlor & Gallery in KC, entitled “Metapores.”
It’s showing through August 31st, at which point the gallery is hosting a closing reception from 6-10pm. The very next day, they’ll also be hosting a Q&A with Adrian. If we were anywhere near KC we’d definitely stop by, as ingesting these things in person must be quite a good time.
Adrian is another case of artists’ seeing themselves fitting well amongst our pages and shooting us an email. Keep it comin’ everyone, submissions are awesome. Until next time, feast your eyes on these…
