I was poking around on Society6.com, something I find myself doing when I’m thirsty for some new illustration, design, typography, or photography. I found the work of Emory Allen, which can be found at OcularInvasion.com. After spending some time on Emory’s site, I am indeed a fan. The way he combines illustration and typography in a single piece creates a simplicity that I find disarming. He keeps things playful, regardless, and I like the vibe. Reviewing his art isn’t spastic, it’s a controlled observation, and the letters paired with images facilitate a fairly direct interaction.
