A Similar Sound: The Art of the Rock Poster – Opening Reception, July 8th

There will be an awesome Rock Poster exhibition for the upcoming month at Fill In The Blank Gallery in Chicago. The opening reception is this Friday night, and I’m looking for co-conspirators (anyone wanna go?) Promises to be a good show, lots of great artists and bands represented, including a buddy, Justin Santora.

“Rock posters can remind you of your favorite band, a specific concert, or even visually stir you in similar ways that the music it represents does. “A Similar Sound” is a look at the world of the rock poster and how artist and musician play off one another to create pieces of art through the influence of music and design. During July and August {fill in the blank} Gallery will show a wide scope of hand drawn, digital, and screen printed posters representing many sub-genres of rock music. Artists showing: Cricket Press, Crosshair, Delicious Design League, Drug Factory Press, Flannery Cashill, Jetsah, Just!n Eagan, Justin Santora, Kill Hatsumomo, Someoddpilot, Sonnenzimmer, Spacedust Design, and SuperKonductor.”
