Brandon Boyd

Brandon Boyd is better known for being the lead singer of Incubus, but his art is just as good, maybe even……..way better. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. will always occupy a special place in my heart, and Brandon’s paintings and books have that same dark, yet hopeful feel.

I have both of his books, White Fluffy Clouds Vol. 1 and From The Murks of the Sultry Abyss – they are both beautiful exercises in Jungian-mind-acrobatics, both verbal and visual.

Plus, it’s extremely unique stuff. Here’s a snippet of lyrics from the song “Look Alive” which Incubus released on the Japan Import Edition of their most recent album, Light Grenades. Brandon is indeed as good with words as he is with colors and shapes…..
