CRISTIAN BLANXER

Spanish artist Cristian Blanxer is onto something… something trippy. Fishpeople traversing gallery caves, bleeding color experiments, and drippingly-psychedelic takes amidst starkly honest simplicity.  All of the above describes the work, and more importantly, it’s what draws us to it. Cristian employs a photographic clarity in his paintings, an impressive reality clouded by something amiss. Masturbation, still-lives, and character portraits are all fair game  in CB’s Store, yielding an artist who balances out-of-this-world imagination with strikingly blunt presentation.
