Ghostly International

Ghostly International is a bit of everything good, so it’s been easy for us to jump on the bandwagon.  We’re definitely impressed when a label or collective works so adeptly with such a high caliber of musicians and visual artists.  Needless to say, the output stays awesome and continues to progress, as the stable of creatives who Ghostly combine with multiplies. GI is a shining example of an intuitive and cohesive melding of aesthetics, and we dig nearly everything they’re associated with.  Whether it’s Andy Gilmore doing art for a Gold Panda release (both massive IPMM favorites), or ISO50 killin’ a cover for Tycho, they’ve been able to meld complimentary creativity in amazingly apt and balanced ways, and we thank them for putting it all in one lovely place.

In their own words:

“Ghostly International is a multi-platform cultural curator, a tightly knit aesthetic universe fulfilling the roles of art gallery, design house, clothing designer, technology innovator, music-publishing company—and, yes, record label—in one. In the years since its birth in 1999, Ghostly has grown from a boutique label known for its experimental-pop and -techno acumen to an internationally recognized platform for the work of the world’s best visual artists, designers, technologists, and musicians.”
