Herb & Dorothy is a film about an unassuming New York couple who over the years, amassed an incredible collection of art despite a middle class lifestyle. They were loved in the art scene and helped make a lot of artists work viable, and even sought after. Herb & Dorothy are a sweet couple who loved to experience and colect a wide array of work, which they began collecting in the 1950′s. After compiling their collection, they realized the need to cataloging it, and even ended up giving their collection away to museums all over the country. They rejected various attempts to purchase the collection, stating that the collection itself was more important than selling it.
