Sam Flores

Sam Flores does great work. Hip hop fantasies, asian-dream sequences, and the meditative posture of all his characters, are the things that come to mind when I think of Sam’s art.  He needs no help getting the word out, this guy has done a lot of amazing stuff in various mediums – sneakers, paintings, t shirts (like the one above), prints, a line of New Era 5950′s, etc.

Coming from a graffiti and skateboarding background, he has been able to continue his street style, while at the same time being involved with fine art and gallery showings.

I have to thank my buddy Anna for grabbing a signed Flores for me at the Upper Playground Store in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Oh sweet victory…..
