Sonny Kay‘s work is a hyperbolic journey through a multitude of dreams. Always surreal, and usually cathartic, he assembles otherworldly collages, all the while satiating the need for color and relationship. Every time I look at his art, I come up with wildly different assertions as to context and intent, and am tickled by the variety of experience and thought his work induces.
He recently made a collection of new prints available, which you can purchase via Hello Merch & Sargent House. Some art prints, other album covers, all done on amazing 100% cotton base, acid-free paper with museum quality inks. After holding a few of these in my hands, I can tell you, they are stunning.
