Mr. Wiltshire is truly an artistic historian, preserving our cities in their intricate oneness. It’s amazing how Stephen’s illustrations feel as if they pulsate. Whether the detail from a veranda in the French Quarter in New Orleans, or a view from above Manhattan or Tokyo, these incredible images convey each of these great places. The pause button gets hit from memorable vantage points through this dudes’ pen, and the world will have been better for it.
To be clear, and as a result or byproduct of his autism, Stephen can draw these scenes after one visit… from memory. Yea.
Check out his London store if you’re on that side of the pond, he also has a gift shop and books available. We’ll definitely keep up with Stephen Wiltshire’s illustrations of uber-detailed bird’s eye views and other worthy angles.
