For episode 44, my love for instrumentals guided me to seek the help of A.Pitch | XmitFrsh for this next mix. I’ve known this cat for a long time, to me he’s super fresh and I’m glad to be able to have him be a part of our audio mix series. Enjoy Episode 44!

Chelsea Wolfe Bears Her Bright Storm Down Upon the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY

October 5th, 2015 Posted by Concert Photos, Featured, Music, New York No Comment yet

Chelsea Wolfe has said that there is a brightness in her shadow – a highlight to the looming Gothic image that well represents some of her music, as seen decked across fashion magazines and iconic photo shoots. Wolfe’s visual aesthetic is as well received as her music, which ranges from an elegant singer-songwriter folk style layered with harmonies to the heaviest in slow, brooding, sometimes-byzantine industrial, electronic and metal. There is a glow that comes from the darkness when she performs, and seeing her band live is nothing short of incredible, year after year.

Double King’s Love Letter to the Night

June 16th, 2015 Posted by Featured, Music No Comment yet

The combination of a group of talented musicians singing above the noise of the crowded city, Double King’s music is an exploration of the circumstances of life mixed with a hopeful promise of tomorrow. It’s optimistic, but honest. Truth comes out in the night, but it is revealed by dawn’s light.

Control

The Smooth Flavor of Milos Greene

May 18th, 2015 Posted by Featured, Music No Comment yet

Milos Greene doesn’t want you to just listen to their second album, “Control.” They want you to get lost in it. The sounds of this four person quartet are as smooth as a glass of Merlot. Like the wine, their music is filled with familiarity; the longer you let it sit and breathe, the more potent its hold becomes. The beats are like fresh flavors blossoming in your ear buds – the more you drink in, the stronger the buzz.
