Africa HiTech – Hitecherous

Well, it’s fair to say this 2010 release by the electronic super-duo, Africa Hitech, is rocking our shit right now.  It’s hard to describe the flow of the record, as it sets off every bass-heavy bone in your body, while not blindly adhering to the model.  Tactful falsetto vocals later contrasted with the rude boy cadences of another electronic sector altogether, are amongst the pieces that make this release so worthwhile.  Africa HiTech are comprised of Steve Spacek and Mark Pritchard, both of whom’s careers include various explorations into multiple corners of the electronic music landscape. Further research revealed other releases by both men which are sure to shake our asses for years to come.  The balance between melody and bass is perfectly palatable in this purveyor’s mind.  This is a deep house, dubstep, dancehall, trip hop extravaganza… “How Does it Make You Feel” is all you’ll need to dive right in.
