Extensively touring to promote their new creation, Bosnian Rainbows, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (At The Drive In, The Mars Volta) & Teri Gender Bender (Le Butcherettes) rolled into NYC to unveil new music on The Highline Ballroom audience. It was a kinetic night of music that the audience enjoyed thoroughly, ushering in a new era for the musicians involved in the project.
Featuring Omar’s signature expressive guitar playing, the simultaneous drumming/keyboard mixture from Deantoni Parks, and the back-rolling, trust falling acrobatics of singer Teri Gender-Bender; Bosnian Rainbows left their New York debut to raised hands and grin-stained faces. Here are a few tracks they’ve let out just in time for you to get a taste of what you’ll hear when you see them live.
The IPMM team was on hand to capture the night’s antics and look forward to what this eccentric line-up has coming down the pike. As always, enjoy the entire slideshow below, or check out the Photos by IPMM section for every concert shot we’ve ever taken.
