Buddy Sativa – Deus Ex Machina

Buddy Sativa is a producer and composer who’s music is a journey through varied and sometimes dissonant, free-form jazz explorations; ebb and flow can’t be more aptly applied.  To be fair, it also gets formidably groovy, as if to break into celebrations of equatorial-rhythm-funkiness.  This album is a spacious arrangement that incorporates an extremely broad range of influences.  It features an amazingly well-balanced compliment of sonic impetus… first by lulling you into a state of relaxation, then by gaining momentum through complex and impressive instrumentation, and all the while making the transitions so seemlessly. Internets, don’t fail us now – we gotta find more Buddy Sativa recordings.
