Gonzaga Manso

The work of Spanish photographer Gonzaga Manso was sent to us by a partner-in-crime (if you consider uncovering tons of new and creative output a crime), and we’re very glad she did.  The photography world can appear pretty divided from the outside, and that may be the case, but apparently there’s enough room for out-of-the-box-people like Manso to exist and thrive.  His semi-surrealist, funky, and somewhat blunt style incorporates typical fashion keynotes, while also evoking a rare sense of gravity to situations that feel like snapshots of people in habitats, dreamt exclusively for them. Being that he’s a director also, it makes sense that his shots feel like stills of a scene from some extended plot; giving life to otherwise static and facile emotional dynamics, and effectively communicating intensities of varying hues.  These examples of his work should send you scurrying over to his site. Run along now!
