This, in our humble opinion, is some of the best electronic music being released these days. Flying Lotus, is at least, doing something new, something different, and something wildly creative. At IPMM, that’s enough for us to dig deeper, but with FlyLO, you don’t have to dig at all – his vision is apparent. His glitchy, chaotic, yet somehow reigned-in beat-laden flickering symphonies are more than we could ask for. His last LP, Cosmogramma, was a spacious yet compelling effort, but this EP has a few more groovable heaters. “Camera Day” proves our point.
