Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is one of my favoritos. The thought I have about most anything creative that impresses me, is…..”how the fuck did that person have a vision of this amazing landscape?!?!?!” Then I usually am further impressed when thinking of the process that goes into shaping those artful, throbbing creations.

Omar’s work is a perfect example of the mindblow-process I go through when I encounter beautiful art.

Omar paints with his music, and if you can let yourself get far out enough to be spongeful, I think you will feel privileged. And if not, more for me! The albums above are all whats new in Omar-land. Not to mention, The Mars Volta will also be releasing their 5th LP this summer.
