Katty Bouthier

I love when artists question the limitations and/or constraints of the labels that can be used for defining their own work. Technology insists upon blurring the lines between disciplines, with every mutation, new categories being created and concocted. Katty Bouthier seems to be one of these people who doesn’t worry about being put in any certain box, and who uses various methods as launching pads for her expression.

For the sake of conveyance, she’s a designer who works with illustration and photography. For IPMM’s purposes, she’s been categorized in photography. Her work feels kaleidoscopic while employing photography, and yields a perplexing, satisfying view. Enjoy…
