One of the best parts of running IPaintMyMind is the discovery.

The moment when we find some new art or music to share with y’all, it clicks, and one of our writers puts something together to make you even more curious.

Imagine our joy when we found the illustration work of Elizabeth MD Vuong.

Having featured her on IPMM, we’re super excited to not only be hosting her first solo show ever at IPaintMyMind Gallery @ Green Exchange on Thursday, February 5th, which will coincide with the exclusive print release of Octuse.

Part of the IPMM Print Project, Octuse was printed in 5 colors on 18×24 thick cotton rag stock paper in a super Limited Edition of 10.

Priced at $100 or $180 framed, Octuse will debut on February 5th and later be available in our online store… if we have any left! In other words, join us at the gallery on February 5th to get your copy.

Check out photos of Liz unveiling and signing the prints. They turned out insanely beautiful, and we’re once again super thankful to have worked with Static Medium our of Los Angeles for the production of this art print release.

Here’s her bio as well:

Elizabeth MD Vuong (Born Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Her work explores notions of decay and mutation through pop sensibilities, realism, and geometric abstraction. Her intricately rendered flora & fauna illustrations create a push and pull between reality and dreamscape. The intertwining of realities conjures uncanny responses to the journey of contemporary storytelling.  This serves to create an aura of curiosity around the narrative of composition, thus invoking a surreal understanding of the beauty and obscurity of nature.
