Pitchfork 2014 didn’t bring in the rolling thunder like it did last year when Bjork summoned the skies, but there was plenty to listen to and be happy about at 2014’s edition. Union Park filled again, with Day One seeing the likes of Beck & Giorgio Moroder, with the festival concluding with the likes of Majical Cloudz and hometown hip hop wonder kid, Kendrick Lamar. If you were there, you know Pitchfork has figured this one out, and while they keep on boasting extremely diverse lineups, we’ll keep supporting. Sure, you can book an entire festival with one genre, but why the hell would you?
Seeing our city host one of the most eclectic music festival feels right. See you next year kids!
