Pitchfork Music Festival 2013 – PHOTO REVIEW
With Pitchfork 2013 well in the rears, our legs rested, and our bodies showered, it’s easy to look back and call it a success. For as many festivals that seem to hone their demographic to the point where the event itself becomes less about discovery and more about high-fiving, we are happy to see Pitchfork keep the musical palette diverse. Sure, they threw in R. Kelly for some hometown wow factor, and those who got to see him in person at least got a laugh out of it. While there always has to be a bit of novelty, we had a great time listening to Woods, Chairlift, Angel Olsen, Solange, Ryan Hemsworth, and a few other less-well known, but on-point artists. With Flatstock 40 sharing territory, and food that beat the shit out of your typical overpriced festy fare. Put all that in the heart of our favorite city in the world, and you have something worth talking about.
