ART = ENGAGEMENT
Whether data about the creative practices of Nobel Laureates or the sheer joy art can bring to our everyday, it’s clearer and clearer by the minute that art supports kids & communities by helping grow creative problem solving skills, developing artistic techniques, and inviting them to use their hands & dream up solutions of the future.

Our 2019 feature on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight program is a perfect glimpse into the types of relationships we build with our partner schools. From turning a school’s hallway into an art gallery, to facilitating engagement through arts activities, and bringing the artists’ themselves into our schools, IPaintMyMind creates a year-long container that enhances your space and your arts programming in one fell swoop.
Our hallmark arts program for schools, parks, libraries, and youth centers, is called Shared Walls, in which we deliver an Art Gallery, a 10-page art curriculum, and an Artist Workshop to each partner.
As an educator, you’re the expert when it comes to engaging your students, but we’re proud to help make that connection to art, both conceptually and as far as your art gallery, which serves as a reference for all your kids exploration.
We’ve created an Art Guide that not only breaks the year up into 3 targeted chunks (discovery, technique, and art making) to build toward your own community gallery! It also has activities, free local art experiences, and online resources to really dig in.
As we’ve built out our arts programs, we’ve noticed a really cool arc that takes the viewer from passive observer to artist. We’ve found this is accelerated when a student has the opportunity to ask questions & learn from an artist who is making a career of their art.
Our workshops are designed to give artists a cool way to give back while truly bringing the experience to life for our communities. We also love bringing our educators together for connection, camaraderie, learning, and brainstorming.
Schools also receive constant communication with our Program Managers throughout the school year to help teachers & students get the most out of the programs & resources. Whether adapting an activity for a new subject matter or age group, or sending along great free online arts resources, IPMM aims to help community heroes like teachers, librarians, and youth leaders raise the bar in their space & programs.
LEARN MOREWhether it’s paying our artists first for the art we add to our growing collection, engaging cool businesses around art services, creating programs for communities, or rallying our supporters to turn that wheel, all of our partners create value & pass it along.
Whether you’re an artist growing their career, a business who needs art, a community that needs arts programming, or a lover of art who is looking for a great cause to support, we’d love to hear from you.
