Davis Square Park Is A Home For Community, Soccer, & Shared Walls™
Our recent collaboration with the Chicago Park District for Night Out In The Parks 2014 was a great time. We’d like to thank Samantha Chavis and Sean Ortiz from the park for their support in making this all happen. IPaintMyMind was thrilled to put photography in the park that spoke directly to what the community values; their futbol! And we can’t blame them, the beautiful game is a great way to bring communities together.
Seeing the youngsters ask Abel about soccer, photography, and what it’s like shooting for the Chicago Fire, was truly cool.
Art should exist in every community, and we’re thankful to the people of Back Of The Yards for being such an active participant in the exhibition. Because we love the park and it’s people, IPMM has decided to leave 4 pieces in the park for the entire year, behind the front desk. We can’t bare to take them down from that wall and look forward to expanding our collaboration if the park district chooses us as a grantee again!
