Missy Rosa is precisely the artist we love to support; she’s talented, local, and has a perspective that is so indicative of a specific time and place that it makes us proud to be a Chicago-based organization. She works at the intersection of illustration & graphic design, creating clean, emblematic images.

Missy embodies the Chicago spirit, not just because her illustrations and designs depict hallmark’s of culture from the city by the lake, but because she’s always been rooted in her surroundings. Missy knows no other way than to reflect what she sees through her artistic skills, while inevitably shedding light on snippets of reality that aren’t always featured in typical Chicago cultural ephemera. What started as an idea a few years ago is now Chicagoteria, a Chicago-themed version of Loteria, the Mexican bingo game.
