Putting Art In Schools, Shared Walls™ at Kenwood Academy
The best part about bringing portions of the IPMM Collection to communities all over Chicago as part of our Shared Walls™ program is working with the community leaders that help us make it happen. In this case, Elizabeth Osborne, the Art Teacher at Kenwood Academy served as IPMM’s liaison at the school, and we all had a great time.
As the IPMM Collection grows to 400 pieces and beyond, we were happy to be able to feature a selection of screen prints by local artist, Jay Ryan. Jay is a friend and a veteran of the screen print scene in Chicago, having created art prints and gigposters for great bands & cool events for years now.
26 of Jay’s prints from our collection are part of a temporary exhibition on the 2nd floor at Kenwood Academy through November 2016. We were excited to bring Shared Walls™ to yet another Ward, getting closer to our goal of putting temporary art exhibitions in every Ward in Chicago. Thanks to Jay for his incredible work, we’re honored to have over 40 of his prints in our collection.
Learn more about Shared Walls™ and contact us with questions about how companies & organizations can participate by hosting a temporary art exhibition at their space.
