Shields Elementary Hosts Shared Walls™ Exhibition, Art Prints by Jay Ryan
Walking into Chicago Public Schools like Shields Elementary and working with some of the most engaged educators in the city is a truly heartening experience. It feels so good to be able to provide these heroes with an awesome service that adds value to the experience they offer our children every single day.
This time, we got to work with Shields Elementary at 43rd and Rockwell in the 15th Ward. Principal Sue Daly-Rodriguez was supportive and helpful throughout, and we loved the opportunity to hang some playful art (a little lower than normal) so that little ones at Shields Elementary can properly enjoy them.
As we hung this Shared Walls™ exhibition, kids came out of their classes and their jaws dropped. They pointed and giggled at the art, totally blown away by the fact that the last time they were in that hallways, there was nothing.
We chose to feature work by Jay Ryan of The Bird Machine because of his colorful & soft palette, which the kiddies seemed to love.
