For most of us, doing our part during this trying time simply means staying in our apartments or houses. But in a tremendous way, people are helping others, from inside their homes, endure inside of their homes. We’ve seen a fitness instructor leading a workout on a rooftop, Yo-Yo Ma performing free #songsofcomfort, and sharing of the positive environmental impacts of a human slowdown. Suddenly, things that have been taken for granted have demonstrated great value––the environment and community. And, of course, a lot of that positivity and community has been spread through ART! Enjoy this list of DIY art projects, sure to brighten your day.

Many people, like actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, are recognizing our current necessity and opportunity for art. His message is fitting for all of us who are looking for an outlet. If you want to use this time of quarantine as an opportunity to make some art, here are a few resources to get started. These DIY art projects are designed for at home, so resources are provided, or the projects use materials that you likely already have. They are for art teachers, students, creatives, parents who need to keep their kids busy, and inspiring the masses.
