Francesco Romoli is a perfect example of an artists whose genius has been amplified by technology & computers. A photographer and a graphic designer, Francesco takes a surreal approach to creating images and scenes that will blow your mind.
Whether a bench-goer has an iPad for a head, or a red jacketed cyborg exposes his innards, the concepts & questions asked within are a blast. We live in an era where artists can use tools like photoshop to mold their visions beyond the confines of reality. What can we say – we love that.
Hailing from Pisa, Italy and having studied contemporary photography in Florence, Francesco clearly has technical training, not that that would make what he’s created more valid than someone who just figured out. The images he conjures are simply stunning, using color and conscience to portray the coming together of the pre-technological world & this age of computers we currently inhabit. In a society that sees touch screens and pin codes as pillars, he brings old and new worlds together in an incredibly intriguing way.
