It’s been such a pleasure to work with adidas Originals over the years to launch and activate their fantastic flagship store on Milwaukee Ave in Chicago with great local art. We’ve been able to curate work by a wide variety of local artists including Sam Kirk, Ethan D’Ercole, Kate Lewis, and many more.
Despite the state of the world, we were obviously thrilled to continue building on our partnership with adidas Originals, especially because the artist we’re featuring was supposed to have their work in the store last March when things went wonky.
That artist is none other than Bee Harris. We’ve been in touch with Bee for a few years now, recently acquiring more of her art prints as part of the continued expansion of the IPaintMyMind Permanent Print Collection. She’s a Chicagoan who just moved to North Carolina, and we’re so happy to bring her bold, colorful work to the adidas Originals store.
We also look forward to expanding on our work with Bee to create more content for our Chicago Public Schools partners, helping our students visualize the process from the inspiration in her head to the finished art print.
And if you haven’t seen it, check out the exclusive interview we did with Bee Harris a while back – it’s a great look into her creative process and perspective.
