We are thrilled to share an exciting update from our recent collaboration with ACERO Brighton Park Elementary School, located on Chicago’s vibrant south side. As part of our ongoing mission to make art accessible to all, we had the pleasure of conducting a captivating screen printing workshop with the talented students of ACERO Brighton Park.

Partnering with ACERO Brighton Park has been an absolute delight. Their commitment to providing enriching educational experiences perfectly aligns with our own vision of fostering creativity and self-expression through the arts. Together, we embarked on a journey to ignite the imaginations of these young minds through the medium of screen printing.

The workshop was nothing short of inspiring. Witnessing the students immerse themselves in the creative process was truly heartwarming. From designing their prints to pulling them off the screens, every moment was filled with enthusiasm and artistic flair. But what truly set this workshop apart was the students’ opportunity to embellish and personalize their prints after the screen printing process.

In the attached photos, you’ll see a glimpse of the magic that unfolded during our time at ACERO Brighton Park. Each image captures the joy and excitement on the faces of the students as they add their own unique touches to their screen prints. Whether it’s a splash of vibrant color or a whimsical doodle, these embellishments serve as a reflection of each student’s individuality and creativity.

Beyond the technical skills learned, the workshop provided a platform for self-expression and empowerment. Through art, these students were able to explore their identities, share their stories, and celebrate their voices. It was a reminder of the transformative power of the arts in shaping lives and building communities.

As we reflect on our time at ACERO Brighton Park, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Brito-Shaku, Ms. Bode, Ms. Kim, and the faculty, staff, and, most importantly, the students for welcoming us with open arms. Your passion for creativity and eagerness to learn inspire us to continue our mission of bringing art into schools and communities across Chicago and beyond.

We look forward to future collaborations and the opportunity to continue spreading the joy of art to even more eager young minds.
