Nonprofit Growth: The IPaintMyMind 2021 Annual Report
It’s one of our favorite times of the year. Every spring, we’re so excited to put together the IPMM Annual Report, gathering together statistics and testimonials to paint a picture of our fiscal year in review. It can be hard to contextualize growth when you are in the middle of it, so the Annual Report is an exciting opportunity to take a step back and get a good look at the big picture.Â
It’s been our busiest year to date. In 2021 we were able to expand our programming to reach even more Chicago Public Schools classrooms and expand the resources we provide to our teachers. We worked with over 20 CPS schools this year through Shared Walls.Â
We were also able to revamp our Arts Education Curriculum, streamlining our adaptable framework to work even better for arts educators. Â Â
We launched our Mural on Wheels, a mobile screen printing studio that frees us up to offer more workshops than ever.Â
We paid out over $50,000 to our Partner Artists this year, furthering the goal of supporting local working artists who are representative of the communities we work with. We also added over 100 prints to our Permanent Collection!Â
IPMM collaborated with adidas Originals on three special activations at their Chicago flagship store: including a limited edition zine, a special run of prints, and a custom screen printed t-shirt workshop. We worked on tons of amazing projects, including the Not (Just) Dead White Guys print series and coloring book.Â
Internally, we’ve also been growing. It’s been a year of investing in our staff, deeping and expanding roles, and making new connections.Â
Thanks for growing with us! We’re incredibly lucky to have such a supportive community alongside us for this journey.
